Through our previous 6 steps, you should now have a good understanding of your audience and what you want to achieve all detailed within a brief to send out to the agencies of your choice.

If you haven’t yet written your brief then you can find a FREE template here.

If you don’t already have a selection of agencies to go to (we recommend 3), then here’s our 6 top tips to finding the right marketing and creative agency for you.

1 – Recommendation

Reach out to friends, colleagues and on social, asking for recommendations. If you get the same name pop up several times, it’s a good indication of the service that you can expect.

2 – Location

You can reduce the number of agencies to review by targeting a location. You might want your agency to be local, in order to have regular contact.

Equally you may want to select a London agency, as they may be more in tune with your target audience.

Remember you should go out for 3 quotes, so one selected by location could be useful for comparison.

3 – Look at who the agency has previously worked with

Take a look, or request, a list of brands that they have worked with. This will give a good indication of the size of brands that they are used to, as well as any sector experience.

4 – Have a chat

You can’t beat a quick chat to assess how you feel you might work together.

5 – Check out their testimonials

These are often available on their website, social channels, or even google reviews. If you are investing a significant budget then ask if you can have a chat with previous clients.

6 – Availability

Check on their availability before spending too much time getting quotes. If you’re cutting it fine on deadlines then this will need to be a consideration in your selection.

Once you have spent a little time researching your agencies, you can now send your prepared brief out to your top 3.

Good luck 😊
