‘Effective ways to communicate with your audience during lockdown’ is not a headline I thought I would ever be writing! But here we are in the 3rd lockdown in less than a year and we may have a few weeks ahead of us yet.
As we don’t know when restricting measures will be eased you can’t afford to ignore getting your product, service or brand in front of those who will be most likely to respond.
There are many elements to consider in creating killer content to promote your business, such as great copy, strong graphics and consistent branding, but we all know that creating video offers the opportunity for an even higher engagement rate.
You may be surprised to hear that, in line with government guidelines, film production is still permitted and many video production agencies, like ourselves, have strict guidelines and procedures in place to do so safely. However, despite that, a variety of factors mean that film production may still not be an option for you.
So, what are the options for creating professional engaging content, that will have your social channels lit up?
There are a couple of solutions open to you:
Live streaming, is a great way to build engagement and, if planned well, can be reused at a later date too. See our recent article,

Animation is a great way to get a message out there and is particularly good for simplifying complicated subjects. It is a great format for keeping on brand whilst giving you the opportunity to be as creative as you dare. Here are a few examples of different styles that demonstrate the flexibility of animation:
Video created from stock images and footage is a really cost effective solution. You can either use a standard, good quality, image or purchased stock footage.
This type of format is best suited to short messages, 10-30 seconds, and with the edition of music and effects you can get really creative, professional messages created in a matter of hours.
Here’s a few examples of what this could look like:
You could even repurpose any existing photography or video you have created like this:

Podcasts are very much ‘on trend’ and 2020 saw over 15 million podcast listeners in the UK alone.
Podcasts can be very easily created with equipment at home. If you aren’t technically minded, or lacking the time to put a professional finish on your podcast, for a small investment your local video production agency will be able to edit your content giving you a concise, well considered final audio piece.
Hopefully this gives a few ideas of ways that you can create great content without having to leave the house !
Whatever you decide, we urge you to do something to ensure you keep at the forefront of your target audiences mind.
If you want to learn more about any of the above options we would love to hear from you.
